At this workshop, participants will be offered a tools for writing their first plays. Through a mix of devised and scripted exercises participants will learn how to develop stimulus, story, structure, character and dialogue and will leave feeling empowered and equipped for their first playwriting projects.
An insight into how a story’s meaning can be shaped by form. Participants experiment with the form of a well-known story, fable or myth and look at creating allegory, making a small story from a big idea, a device we commonly use in our work.
Rapid Response Writing
This session enables participants to use topical stimuli to create provocative political theatre in a fashion similar to our regular event, The Daily Plays. Participants script a monologue inspired by a news story.
